Course Objective

With the risk of traffic collisions increasing there is now more emphasis on Practical aspects of developing and managing driver risk on the roadways. This course is developed by the UK Institute of Advanced Motoring (I.A.M) who together with the UK Ministry of Transport sought to identify core driver training knowledge and skills that are essential for being defensive on the motorways but are often lacking in basic licensing requirements.

Local traffic situations and regulations for Trinidad are emphasized to increase driver awareness and skills for collision avoidance in a very high-risk environment.

Practical Session: Behind the Wheel

  • For the practical “Hands on” Session each participant must drive specified route so as to allow his or her driving skills to be assessed.

Certification

Each driver will have an individual /confidential assessment report.
